Want to Work from Home? These 16 Sites Will Help You Find Legit Jobs

index

Want to work from home?

You’d be able to tend to your kids (or pets), avoid having to plan outfits every morning, and save on commute time and gas money.

You could also reside where the cost of living is lower or have the ability to travel more.

The estimated 63 million Americans who already work from home save an average of $3,300 per year. Want to join them?

Work-From-Home Websites to Help You Find a Remote Job

To help you start working from home, we collected this list of job search sites that feature remote work opportunities.

1. The Penny Hoarder Work-From-Home Job Portal

If you’re looking for a trusted work-from-home job search site, this is your best bet. Why? Because The Penny Hoarder’s editorial staff hand-picks and screens all the opportunities listed, and, well, we’ve got strict guidelines in place.

Pop into the job board — no account creation required — and search by keyword or job title and location. (Some work-from-home jobs have location requirements, so you can weed those out if needed.)

Each listing includes details about the hiring company, the job requirements, the qualifications, the benefits and the pay — as long as the information is available.

Job listings are added to the portal daily, so you’ll always find new opportunities.

2. ZipRecruiter

This is perhaps the easiest site to navigate on this list, hence why we’ve listed it first.

Click over to ZipRecruiter to find your geo-tailored work-from-home job. (Even some work-from-home job opportunities have location restrictions.)

As soon as you start your search, you’ll see the average salary for work-from-home jobs in your area. This will help you know what to expect. Peruse the listings to find information about the company, the pay and the employment type. You’ll find details about requirements as well as information about how to apply.

ZipRecruiter will even let you know if you qualify for the position based on your credentials.

If you’re not yet ready to take the plunge and submit your resume, you can always save the job for later and move on to the next.

(Psst… There’s also an app for that. Download the ZipRecruiter app for job updates.)

3. NexRep

This work-from-home contractor works with big-name clients like Grubhub and Priceline to fill customer service positions.

No, you won’t find a ton of listings like some other job sites, but it does allow job seekers to narrow in on the customer service industry with the flexibility of working as an independent contractor.

Nearly all of the positions offer flexible, part-time work schedules, and pay typically starts at $10 an hour.

There are no fees to see the jobs. Just sign up with your email address and fill out an online application to see if you qualify as an agent.

Then from NexRep’s homepage, you can see “agent opportunities” anytime — jobs ready to fill!

4. AngelList

If you’re looking to work in the startup world, this site can be a great place to start your remote journey. It features nearly 25,000 startups with open positions.

Sign up, and create a profile by uploading your resume or manually filling in your job experience. Then start browsing open positions.

Job categories include developer, designer, marketing and sales. The site has featured jobs from companies including Everlane, SeatGeek and Stripe.

If you click the star next to a job and the company stars your profile, you’ll connect via email, where you can send a more tailored and personalized cover letter and resume.

5. FlexJobs

Tired of those too-good-to-be-true postings that really are too good to be true?

FlexJobs screens each posting — more than 30,000 of them — to be sure each company is reputable.

Choose to search for jobs by location. There, select the “Can be Done From Anywhere” option, and scan the endless listings.

Fluent in another language? Check out the number of telephone interpreter postings. Interested in words? Browse all the SEO and news writing jobs.

But here’s the catch: To get the full details of a job listing, apply or access other perks (like the skills test), you must sign up for a $14.95-per-month membership.

This is the only site on our list that’ll cost you, but the quality of its listings might be worth the price tag. Take a look to see whether you find enough openings relevant to your experience before signing up, and once you find the right gig, be sure to cancel your membership!

6. Glassdoor

Glassdoor is all about transparency, a welcome quality when you’re researching potential employers. Find company ratings, salaries and even information about the hiring process, including actual job interview questions.

Start typing “remo…” in the location search box, and “Remote (Work From Home), US” will pop up. If you don’t designate an interest area, the site will display more than 4,000 jobs.

Some job titles include customer success managers, marketing coordinators and data engineers.

7. Indeed

Boasting the position of “world’s #1 job site” (according to itself at least), Indeed will likely offer you the most comprehensive search. Not only do employers post jobs directly to Indeed, the interface aggregates job postings from thousands of other sites.

Although you’ll need patience to sort through the listings (and need to sniff out the ones that aren’t so legit), the search options are endless and the jobs are varied: personal assistants, social media managers, voiceover artists and food bloggers.

Simply search “remote” in the location bar. But watch out for the sponsored listings at the top and bottom of the page — they might not fit your search criteria.

8. Jobspresso

Because Jobspresso only lists remote jobs, you don’t have to trudge through contingencies and fine print in a job listing — you’ll know it’s actually a work-from-home job.

Simply select “Browse Jobs,” and either choose all remote jobs or search by a career category. Keep an eye on location — some positions require you to work in a certain time zone or state.

Chug your espresso, and start exploring all the options: writer (celebrity beats included), brand manager and web developer positions abound.

9. PowerToFly

This site aims its services at stay-at-home mothers and women who want to find a flexible job that offers a decent work-life balance.

Fill out a profile, and start perusing. You’re encouraged to think of it as LinkedIn; select “happily employed” if you are just that, but it never hurts to keep the door open for something better.

You’ll find a specific “Remote Jobs” category you can select to search.

10. Remote OK

Remote OK aggregates remote job listings for “digital nomads” from other sites such as Stack Overflow and Indeed. You’ll find mostly technology-based gigs, but there’s an option to search “non-tech.”

Under each category, the jobs are listed by posting date. You can also sign up for daily, weekly or monthly emails or automated updates.

11. Remotive

Yes, that’s “remote” + “productive.”

This site focuses exclusively on remote job listings, so simply select your desired category of profession (education, engineering or human resources, among others). Clicking on “Apply for Job” will take you directly to the company’s site.

After your initial search, stay on top of new job listings by signing up for a weekly or monthly email update.

12. Skip The Drive

Although many of these listings link back to Indeed, this site’s filter options can help you refine your search and find jobs that best fit your skills and interests.

You’ll see full-time, part-time or contract work in a variety of categories including account management, consulting, finance and recruiter. Once you choose your niche, filter jobs by posting date to avoid reading expired listings.

As a fun bonus, the site helps you calculate how much money and time you’ll save each year by working from home.

13. Stack Overflow

Although this site is mostly known as a message board for developers, it also hosts a number of location-independent gigs.

Head on over to “Developer Jobs” at the top left of your screen. You can also search by contract gig or permanent options.

14. Virtual Vocations

The site will ask you to log in or register (and will interrupt your search until you do so), but the search filters are worth the time it takes to sign up.

Use the left-hand toolbar to filter job postings by category, geographic restriction, type, weekly hours, career level, education level, travel requirements and date posted.

As you click your selections, postings will update automatically. You’ll see jobs in a number of categories including editing, fundraising, legal, nursing, real estate and even travel.

Its Twitter feed also regularly updates with new job postings.

15. We Work Remotely

This site might not share as many jobs as others, but it hosts some of the more quirky opportunities.

Take, for example, a company called Eating Europe, seeking a content marketing manager. Or there’s the iPhone Photography School; it was needing a customer service agent.

Searching is simple. On the homepage, scroll through to find the appropriate job category, and click to see all listings. Or follow the site on Twitter.

16. Working Nomads

Comb through remote job listings based on your interest area: development, design, customer success, management, writing or system administrator.

The curated job postings are mostly focused around tech-related work, so you’ll see lots of positions with titles such as JavaScript architect, Python software developer and front-end engineer.

How to Become a Self Made Digital Marketing Expert?

How to Become a Self Made Digital Marketing Expert??

As consumers spend more time using the internet and less time with other channels – advertisers are also forced to follow this trend. The ads have to be there where the eyeballs are. Unfortunately, digital marketing is not as simple and straight forward as traditional marketing. Digital marketing is best done in-house and cannot be outsourced to a digital marketing agency for various practical reasons. This is the reason that digital marketing experts are sought after all over the world right now and the demand for such candidates will only go up in the future.

52118102.cms

If you have a marketing background and want to become a digital marketing expert; you may be wondering which is the best way to go about it. There are several courses on digital marketing which are being offered as workshops, online courses and one-on-one coaching programs.

There are even MBA programs with specialization in digital marketing such as this one: NYU Stern MBA Digital Marketing.  There are certification exams such as HubSpot Inbound Marketing certification program and Google Adwords certification. But does attending all these courses and getting all the certificates make you a digital marketing expert? The answer is a big NO. It may help you learn the fundamentals and even some advanced concepts in digital marketing but it does not make you career ready for a position like Digital Marketing Manager. Digital marketing expertise comes with digital marketing experience.

The best way to become a digital marketing expert is to start practicing digital marketing from today. The best thing about digital marketing is that you can start doing it at a very small scale. All you need is a computer, an internet connection and a small amount of money to play with. You can learn digital marketing by applying the concepts in your own mini-project. Here are the things you can do right now:

Applying Digital Marketing on a Small Scale

  • Choose a topic you are passionate about and start a blog about it. Cost: Approx $50 per year for domain and hosting.
  • Learn a little about SEO and write SEO optimized articles in your blog.
  • Install Google Analytics tracking code and see if you are getting some traffic to your blog. Explore Google Analytics.
  • Open an Adwords account and do some keyword research to see what people are searching for in Google to find information on the topic you are blogging about.
  • Write more articles and publish on your blog.
  • Open a Facebook page dedicated to your blog (apart from your personal page) and share the articles on your Facebook page.
  • Promote your page with Facebook advertising. Budget for promotion can be as low as $10.
  • Implement Facebook like box in your blog.
  • Embed social sharing buttons in your blog articles. You can do this using WordPress plugins and it is free.
  • Sign up for an email marketing service such as Aweber. Costs $20 per month. Also try MailChimp.
  • Embed email signup forms in your blog and collect subscribers. Email subscribers whenever you publish something in your blog.
  • Promote your Facebook page through email marketing and in turn also get more email subscribers from your Facebook page.
  • Promote your blog via Adwords. Get started with very low CPC bids. Most new Adwords accounts get a free $100 credit for promotion. If you don’t get it, call Adwords support and they will give you free credits to get you started.
  • Sign up for Google Adsense and deploy advertising codes in your blog.
  • Convert your blog into a mobile friendly blog and create mobile ads in Adwords.

All the above steps can be done in 30 days by investing one hour per day. After you do all the steps above your would have gained a bit of hands-on experience in the following areas which pretty much sums up to the following major components of Digital Marketing:

Components of Digital Marketing

  • Content marketing
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
  • Paid Search (PPC)
  • Email marketing
  • Social Media Marketing
  • Digital Display Marketing (Ad Ops)
  • Web Analytics and Reporting
  • Mobile Marketing

30 hours of experience does not make you an expert in Digital Marketing but you will be a much better qualified digital marketing professional than most of the people out there on the market. After this you can continue scaling up your mini-project and add even more things to it. For example, Google webmaster tools integration is something I have not mentioned in the above list but it is important for digital marketing. Your expertise will increase to the level you are ready to scale up your project.

I became a digital marketing expert on my own. My first project BikeAdvice.in started with the steps mentioned above. I kept scaling it up to a point where it reached more than 1 million page views per month and it was one of the leading motorcycle portals in India at that time. It became a fully operational business with 5 team members, significant revenue from display advertising and deep relationships with leading motorcycle manufacturers in India. As of now that project has been acquired by a big media company.

The job of a Digital Marketing Manager

Practical hands-on experience of applying digital marketing principles added with some qualifications and certifications makes you an ideal candidate for a job profile such as Digital Marketing Manager of a brand or company.

As a manager of digital marketing you will be responsible for spear heading the entire digital marketing wing of the company. You may also have to manage a team of people who will be ready to execute specific digital marketing actions. Digital marketing is most effective when all the components of digital marketing are used in such a way that they complement each other. This is also called Integrated Digital Marketing. If the company is large enough, the job title can be VP of Digital Marketing where several managers report to the VP. Such jobs are coming up fast and can be highly lucrative.

If you are not interested in a full time job like I have just mentioned, you can still use your digital marketing expertise to consult, speak in conferences and universities and grow your own internet projects.

Google Adsense Will not Ban Your Accounts from Now – Changed TO 2017

Getting Google Adsense approval within 3 days was a quick technique to get Adsense accounts. After getting  Adsense approved, it is even more difficult to maintain it. Google is very strict when it comes to click frauds and illegal activity. Now finally after decades of waiting, Google has showed some mercy in their Adsense terms of conditions. Yes! Google Adsense will not ban your accounts from now. Google has announced that they made changes to the Adsense banned publishers accounts. They now even improved the appeal process for Adsense accounts.

Google Adsense will now look into the age of the Adsense publisher account. And instead of terminating the whole account for a life time, they will just suspend for a time being. These changes can really change the life of a bad time blogger. If suppose some one is click bombarding your Adsense ads, your account will not be terminated now, it will be just suspended until your issue is fixed by Adsense.

Google Adsense Will not Ban Your Accounts

And of-course there will be same rules and requirements to get Adsense approval for the first time. Earlier getting a Adsense account approved was the most difficult task. Seeing the past few Google TOC, I don’t think it will be that difficult in future. So now the Adsense users are not bothered of pissed of loosing their Adsense accounts for life time. Happy moments for bloggers and web entrepreneurs i would say. Lets check out the Google Adsense changed terms of conditions for re-considering a approved Adsense account.

  1. From now, Adsense will look into the account age of the publisher.
  2. Instead of terminating the Adsense account for a lifetime, it will be just suspended until the issue is resolved.
  3. New and more detailed appeals form was created to appeal for lost Adsense account.
  4. Google Adsense will provide more transparency with enough details on invalid activities via email and Adsense console.
  5. Google has expanded their Adsense Academy in detail.
  6. Adsense will launch few series of Adsense tips for this specific topic

Guess this change will be accepted as a good sign from many bloggers and Internet entrepreneurs. Though Google Adsense will not ban your accounts from now, you still should be careful to get click farming on your sites. These changes might benefit Google Adsense in anyway, but I’m not bothered. Lets spread this good news among fellow bloggers and webmasters. Please leave a comment if you have any queries on this post. Happy Blogging.

How To Earn $100 A Day With Google AdSense

How To Earn $100 A Day With Google AdSense

Earning $100, $200 or even $300 per day with Google AdSense can be done from a home office. Many website owners are doing it. The only thing you need is planning, work, determination, and passion about your topic or niche.

Term Definitions

Before diving into the exact process, here’s some terminology for better understanding of Google AdSense.

AdSense: AdSense is when you place Google Ads on your website, and when a visitor from your website clicks on an ads, Google pays you 68% of what the advertiser pays them. It’s free to sign up.

CTR: Your ad Click-Through Rate is the number of ad clicks divided by the number of individual ad impressions. Suppose you are showing 3 AdSense ads on every page of your website, 1 page view is equal to 3 ad impressions.

CTR = Clicks / Ad Impressions X 100

Suppose, you get 5 clicks out of 500 ad impressions, your CTR would be 1% (5/500X100).

CPC: Cost Per Click is the revenue you earn each time a visitor clicks on your ad. CPC is determined by the advertisers. In some competitive niches like finance, marketing, online products etc. advertisers may be willing to pay more per click than others.

CPM: CPM means “Cost Per 1000 Impressions.”

Sometimes advertisers opt for CPM ads instead of CPC and set their price for 1000 ad impressions. And they pay each time their ads appear on any website.

What It Takes To Make $100 A Day With AdSense

When your CTR is 1% and your average CPC is $0.25. it’s quite achievable to make $100 dollars a day, and lots of people are doing it. Let’s assume that a Page View = An Ad Impression.

  • To make $100 everyday you need 40,000 Page Views/day Or, 400 Clicks a day @ 1% CTR and $0.25 CPC. For 40,000 Page Views you have to produce 500 awesome articles on your website. These pages must attract at least 80 or more page views everyday.

These articles can be as little as 300 words. Always include a YouTuble video on every article page you create. Many people writing a book, can simply write their book on their website and make money simply by writing it. You can also get your visitors to contribute their story ideas. This gets you free content and engages your followers.

  • Apart from CPC, you will also earn from your CPM ad impressions. Irrespective of any niche, the average CPM earning is $1 to $1.5 per 1,000 impressions. You can make $40 to $60 per day from 40,000 page views.
  • You can also sell your Ad space directly or via BuySellAds.com, and generate $6,000 Per Month on an average from 40,000 page views. Check out how webmasters are making $6,000 to $8,000 Per Month from BuySellAds with forty thousand page views per day. So your daily earning will be $200 (6000/30=200).
  • A niche website with high quality articles works well with affiliate marketing. You can might be able to earn $40 to $80/day from affiliate selling with correct implementation and execution.

Now your total earning per day is $100 + $40 + $200 +$40 = $380 from CPC, CPM, Direct Ad Sell, Affiliate Marketing for 40,000 page views per day. I’ve taken the lowest possible earnings from all the 4 sources.

$380 per day means $11,400 per month (380X30= 11,400) Or, $136,800 per year (11,400X12=136,800).

When deciding to be in the ‘Creating Content Business’ your desired earning of $100 per day from Google AdSense is achievable. 1,000s of people are making money by writing articles, and you can do it too, when you are Focused!

P.S. The above results can be possible if you produce at least 200 to 250 great articles or blog posts per year for 2 years. So how much traffic you actually need to make $100 per day from Google AdSense – It’s way less than 40,000 Page Views Per Day!
